Concluding a Letter of Understanding between Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs:

In a ceremony with the presence of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development and the Head of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, the managing Director of the National Land and Housing Organization stated in the sidelines, “Upon signing the letter of understanding, 20,000 residential units are going to be built for the veterans community, the martyrs families and ex-prisoners of war.”

In a
ceremony with the presence of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development and
the Head of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, the managing
Director of the National Land and Housing Organization stated in the sidelines,
“Upon signing the letter of understanding, 20,000 residential units are going
to be built for the veterans community, the martyrs families and ex-prisoners
of war.”



According
to the Public Relations of the National Land and Housing Organization, Ali
Nabian added, “Based on the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of
Roads and Urban Development and the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans
Affairs in the form of a joint action order to organize housing for the target
community of the veterans, the families of the martyrs, and disabled veterans
with more than 25% disability, as per Articles 3 and 7 of Veterans
Comprehensive Law, some lands will be given to the Foundation of martyrs for
housing construction.”



Deputy
Minister of Roads and Urban Development stated, “In accordance with the letter
of understanding, a part of residential lands belonging to the National Land
and Housing Organization will be divided and dedicated to the eligible people
on a case-by-case basis or in case of being introduced by the provincial Roads
and Urban Development Departments.”



Regarding
the details of the memorandum, Nabian said, “Continuous expert meetings were
held in this regard and the strengths and weaknesses of the memorandum were
identified.”



He
continued, “We hope to stalk honoring this dear people. Upon announcement of
the memorandum, their present and the future roadmap would be drawn.”



While mentioning
that conclusion of the memorandum is a step to relieve the concerns of the
respectable families of martyrs and veterans, he further added, “Based on the
memorandum, identity establishment would be done by the Martyrs foundation,
then those ascertained would be introduced to Provincial General Directorates
for land supply by the Foundation.



According to him, the
National Land and Housing Organization have delivered 146,000 plots of land to
the families of martyrs and veterans.
