Mohammad Mehdi Balverdi, Board Member of the
National Land and Housing Organization, spoke of holding a joint meeting with
the representatives of the Ministry of Defense in order to achieve the goals of
the Memorandum of Understanding already concluded between the Ministry of Roads
and Urban Development and the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics.

Based on the reporting of the Public Relations of the
National Land and Housing Organization, Balverdi defining the ground of holding
the session stated, “This meeting was a continuation of previous joint meetings
with the attendance of the representatives of various military organizations centered
on the Ministry of Defense on one side, and the National Land and Housing
Organization as superintendent of Mehr Housing Projects in cities with more
than 25,000 population”.

Noting that his own Organization had introduced a
number of Mehr Housing Projects to the Ministry of Defense in previous
meetings, the Board Member of the National Land and Housing Organization added,
"Representatives of the Armed Forces General Staff selected a number of
these projects upon visiting the suggested Projects. During the meeting, the
representatives of the two sides entered the operational phase and finalized
these agreements and the conditions and issues of the projects assignment to
the military institutions were investigated”.

He said that about 1500 units of the projects are going
through the final steps of allocation to the State Armed Forces employees, and
further added, “We are addressing the challenges of about 3000 other units to
allocate to these esteemed ones in various military organs”.

Balverdi while acknowledging the cooperation between
the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and the Ministry of Defense being
more than the Mehr Housing Allocation, added that in addition to Mehr Housing
Projects, new projects are under construction within the framework of the
National Housing Action Plan that are other joint cooperation topics between
the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and the Ministry of Defense.

He continued, "In order to facilitate the
process of housing for the State military and law enforcement employees, it is
supposed  that we have been informed of
the details and additional information about the lands provided to the Ministry
of Defense so that the necessary planning can be provided for the lands to
enter the housing process”.

The senior technical and engineering director of the
National Land and Housing Organization talked about the other Memoranda of
Understanding of the Organization with the government institutions, "One
of these Memoranda of Understanding was concluded with the Executive Headquarters
of Imam’s Directive, during which the Headquarters has started constructing a
number of National Action Plan Projects across the country considering the
resources and facilities on hand. In addition, in some of the country’s
provinces such as Sistan and Baluchestan and Ardabil Provinces, a number of government
lands have been given to the Headquarters and the construction operation of the
residential units have been started”.

Commenting on 
the bilateral memorandum of understanding between the Organization and
the Ministry of Education, the Board Member of the National Land and Housing
Organization also stated, “Regarding the agreement with the Ministry of
Education, we are currently planning for utilization of the lands belonging to
this institution and identification of the capacities than be allocated and we
hope to see the determination and allocation of the necessary capacities to
provide housing for the Education employees in a near future”.
